As everyone might know, I have been quite desperate to go back to Singapore for work. I've applied to dozens of hotels/agencies and with every waking moment I only thought about how to get a job. I was so mentally pressured that I even went to the gym for distraction so that I don't go crazy!
Anyway, I am now proud to announce that I'm back in SG!!
It's my third week at work, and I'm still trying to fit in. I'm an introvert working in the service industry, so it's normal for me to hide in all four corners before warming up to everybody.
The colleagues are nice. They seemed cold at first, but they showed concern to me as the days go by. They offered help when I'm stuck in quicksand, and I'm very grateful for that.
Everybody thought I was a Singaporean, which kinda surprises me because I remember when I first came 4 years ago, people are telling me they could recognize me as a Malaysian right away.
When I was working in Macau, guests always say that I look like China Chinese as well. So I guess I have very common features?
This is going to be a long post, because I have been doing quite a few food reviews and had since put a stop to documenting my life. So I'm gonna let it all out today!

First things first:
Facial Products
I've spent so much, like OH SO MUCH money on ma face in the past 2 months. I purchased a facial package from Ido's Cosmeceutical which includes 10 rounds of facial treatments plus RM1500 worth of skincare products.
I've never imagined I would spend so much on this face of mine. But I have to admit that I began to notice the wrinkles under my eyes as well as enlarged pores all over my face. I was very worried, so I only considered twice before handing over my credit card for the facial treatments.
One round of treatment involves at least 5 short sessions of some machine sorcery to fix my face. And it's a deep cleansing/nourishing kind of treatment, so I felt like I've gotten the worth back for every cent I spent.
I have also started using their products, and the combination of the treatments and their products did improve my skin condition.

The picture on the left was my skin condition a year ago. It was halfway through my 1-year-long night shifts, and I could still remember how horrible the breakout was. That lasted for a few MONTHS!
My skin got better after that, all thanks to Nature Republic's Tomato Real Nature Mask Sheet! I highly recommend the tomato mask from Nature Republic because I could see my pimples fade after I started using it. But my pores are still there!
The picture on the right is how my skin looks like after 2 facial treatments from Ido's and 4 weeks of continuous usage of their products. The picture was not beautified or whatsoever. I adjusted the beautifying cam effect to '0', which means there's no beautifying/ blurring effect at all.
P/S: I did eyebrow embroidery, hence the blurring effect on them. It's not that I edited the picture.

I have another bottle of milk cleanser in the bathroom and Ido's specially designed sheet masks in the fridge. I was lazy to bring them in for the shot.
So basically I have to spend 5-6 minutes applying all these on my face twice a day, which also means no oversleeping, no snoozing of my alarm and no sleep outs.
The green bottle on the left is a water based make-up remover that I bought recently. It was recommended by the store promoter, and it has a buy 1 free 1 offer, so I decided to try it out.
It's called A-Derma Purifying Micellar Water and it's made in France. I don't remember how much it costs, but I think it's around $20+ or so. So far it has been gentle on my skin, there's no irritation or redness from using this product. And my SilkyGirl long wearing, waterproof, smudge proof eyeliner got removed in 2 swipes.
Before I drift away from the Ido's skincare products, I just want to say that I could see a difference of my skin condition after using them, and I will continue using their series of products until I come across some other more affordable alternatives. I spent almost RM7000 at Ido's btw.
Ido's only has branches in Malaysia, so I could only go for their treatments when I'm back in Penang. The treatment package does not expire, so I can continue with the same package until I'm done with all 10 rounds at my own pace.
Moving on, I've started using some new make up products. Some of them are from my Seoul haul last November. I'm trying my very best to stop myself from buying anymore make ups until I finish using what I have.

The crayon pencil glides on smoothly and the tear-drop tip makes it so easy to shape the ends of my eyebrows. The brow-cara is great at grooming my eyebrow hairs and the shade is subtle as well.
Will I buy it again? Definitely! I broke off a good amount of the crayon pencil when I was figuring out how to use it properly.
The next product I'm going to talk about, is a color correcting palette. My under eye dark circles are uncontrollable, so I desperately need something to savage it. I bought the Nyx Conceal.Correct.Contour palette that almost every Youtuber is raving about. Everybody says it's affordable and works great.

It's a cream concealer, and I only used the yellow/green concealer for the redness around my nose and mouth; and also the salmon color for my dark circles.
It costs a little under $20, and I bought it from the Nyx outlet at Bugis Junction.
Next product will be my very first blending sponge. I'm not going to spend a fortune on the original beauty blender, so I bought the Cala non-latex make-up blending sponge, as recommended by many online sites.

I found it in Sasa and it costs $12+ if I remember correctly. I prefer using this blending sponge over the cushion sponge that comes with my foundation, simply because I felt that my foundation was blended more evenly and doesn't look cracked or cakey upon application.
And I think that's all for the new facial products I've been using recently. Now let's talk about food!

Food
Jajjangmyeon @ Tae Woo Ban Jum, Clarke Quay Central
I LOVE jajjangmyeon! It's hard to look for a good and authentic jajjangmyeon, that's why when I found this bowl of good havens YES THIS IS IT jajjangmyeon, I obsessed myself over it for years. Even when I was working in Macau, I would definitely visit this restaurant when I stop by Singapore.
It's located in Clarke Quay Central, and it's called Tae Woo Ban Jum. The jajjangmyeon costs $15.30 after taxes.

Jollibee @ Lucky Plaza Orchard
I've been craving for Jollibee ever since I watched Peggie Neo's mukbang on Jollibee's fried chicken and noodles. I visited their branch on the 6th floor of Lucky Plaza before lunch time to avoid the queue.
I queued for about 7 minutes before I get to order at the counter. I bought their 2 pcs fried chicken with a side of mashed potato + Coca Cola, and also their spaghetti. It costs $10.40.
I waited for another 5-7 minutes for my order to get ready.

The spaghetti is slightly sweeter than those served in other restaurants, but I like it. The sweetness does not taste artificial. The mashed potatoes are more heavily seasoned than KFC's, and I love it! It seemed to have more black pepper and that made the potatoes tastier. The fried chicken is great as well. The skin is very crispy and the meat is tender. I don't feel guilty after eating all of these by myself.
I'll be there for more!

KFC
Was craving for some KFC and also to try their cheese tart! I ordered the Zinger Box that comes with a Zinger burger, 1 piece of fried chicken, mashed potato, fries and drink. I upgraded my fries into Cheezy Fries for an additional $2, so my Zinger box costs $10.90.
The meal was awesome!!! The cheese tarts costs $1.90 each, and you get 1 free with the purchase of 5 tarts!
Bengawan Solo
It has been forever since I had my last ondeh-ondeh, so I headed to Bengawan Solo at Anchorpoint to get some. I also bought a slice of pandan cake.
Both costs a total of $4.20 I think. The pandan cake was soft and moist, and because it was kept in the display chiller, there's a cooling sensation as I bite into it.
As for the ondeh-ondeh that I've been anticipating, it was awesome! It was a medium sized ondeh-ondeh, with coconut flakes covering it oh my!

Sigh...the best kuih ever.
Pezzo
The perfect solution for a loner who craves for pizza but can't finish one whole pizza by herself. I bought the BBQ Bonanza for $4.50.
That slice of pizza is packed with ingredients and smothered with BBQ sauce. You can get full by just eating that slice of pizza! Taste wise, it's just like every other BBQ chicken pizza.
And I think that's all! I'm tired! I'm working morning shift tomorrow, and I need to sleep now.
Ciao!
