I was back in Penang from 10-14 Dec,
and I finally get to see my nephew!
He's SO cute!!!
I miss him so much already!
He will giggle when I softly poke his belly,
and he will smile and laugh when I joke around with him.
SO. CUTE.
I planned to do a 3D2N or 4D3N in Penang,
but my 'schedule' is kinda full with all the family gatherings.
My uncle was back in Penang with his family as well,
so we had lunch or dinner practically every day.
Plus my sister stayed over during the weekend,
so I get to play with my nephew often!
I arrived in Penang around 9pm, due to the delay from Airasia AS USUAL.
My mum picked me up from the airport and we rushed to downtown for dinner at Chin Kang Association.
After that we went back home to sleep.
On the second day, I woke up around 10am to prepare for lunch with my family and relative.
Mum bought Loh Mee from my brother-in-law's hawker stall.
So I ate a bowl of Loh Mee after shower, cause they delayed the appointed time for our lunch gathering.

We departed for lunch with ah pek & family, tua pek & family, and also jee kor and ah ma around 12.30pm.
First we picked up my sister from her home in Farlim,
then we drove to a Thai restaurant near Batu Lanchang.
I didn't take any of the food photos cause that's the first time I've seen my nephew and I can't stop looking at him.
I actually teared up when I saw him, but managed to not cry out.
He's just so lovely and cute.
Our bedroom has been transformed into a baby room HAHAHA.
Well, almost a baby room.
But the crib was so cute! And it's blue in color!

The baby was sleeping and I had nothing to do,
so I drove to New World Park and bought Ice Kacang + Curry Mee! Two of my favorite dishes!

At night, we went to Jade Palace for dinner with Yee Yee, whom is my mother's cousin sister and her family.
My mum ordered the premium set dinner cause we're supposed to have it with grandpa, but he couldn't make it last minute.
Anyway, we still proceeded with the premium set and it's awesome!
It's very rare to see Chinese restaurants in Penang present their dishes in Western style.

After breakfast, mum fetched me to the Crystal Palace Beauty Salon for my facial treatment, which I have talked about in my previous post on Medical skin care and cosmetic products.
Hence, I won't be mentioning about it again here.
It took about 3 hours for the session and consultation to end.
Mum went back home during my treatment and came together with my sister and the baby to pick me up.
We then proceeded to look for a cafe called the Little Journey Man along Jalan A.S. Mansoor for their famous Raclette cheese action.
You should have seen it on Facebook before,
it's a cheese wheel where it's flat top is being melted and the ooey gooey cheese will be scrapped onto your meal in front of you.
We were so excited for that, and we invited my cousin and ah mm to join us as well.

To our disappointment, due to the reduction in size of their cheese wheel, they will not be able to perform the scraping of the cheese by the table for us.
It would be too hot to be handled by the server in action, so they will serve the potatoes with the cheese scraped readily by the kitchen staff instead.
But we still ordered the dish. It costs RM15 though.
Their menu only consist of 5-6 main dishes, which are pastas and paninis.
We ordered a salted fish pasta, salmon pasta, a pulled pork panini, a matcha toast and also the potato with raclette cheese.

My cousin treated the meal! Thank you~!!
We head back home after the fulfilling meal,
and moments before we depart for dinner,
I started feeling queesy and unwell.
I felt a bit suffocated and my chest area felt heavy.
I tried napping but it doesn't really helped.
We went to Jade Palace for dinner again, this time with grandpa, ah pek & family, tua pek & family, jee kor, say kor & family and ah ma.

Mum skyped my brother who is currently studying in UK. We passed around the phone and talked with him. We took a selfie using print screen as well HAHAHA.
After that, I started feeling unwell again.
I lost my appetite and even vomitted in the toilet stall.
Mum fetched me back for some rest first,
and my cousins will send my dad back after that.
My sister and her baby will be staying back at her own house cause she'll need to work on the next day.
I vomitted again when I reached home.
I thought it was food poisoning, but it couldn't be cause I've been eating the same food as my family the entire day, and they're not undergoing the same symptoms.
My mum suspects migraine so she gave me some medication and I went to bed after that.
----
On the third day, I woke up to my alarm at 9,30am.
Mum will be fetching me to renew my passport.
Mum dropped me off at the immigration office to get a queue number, and there are 300 numbers before my call.
So we went for breakfast at my brother-in-law's loh mee stall.
After breakfast, I followed my mum to run some errands for my ah ku and ah kim who are now in UK visiting their children.
They received a message from their neighbours saying some of the houses' roof tiles were chipped from the strong wind the night before.
They were quite worried whether their house was affected so we went to their house to check for them.
After 2 hours of dilly-dally,
we went back to the immigration office.
There's still 100 numbers before me.
Mum parked her car at the Affin Bank Priority lot and the security gave her 30 minutes or else he'll need to clamp her car.
Mum brought me up to the Standard Chartered priority lounge to wait for my turn.
After 30 minutes, she went to retrieve her car from Affin Bank and parked at another bank's lot.
She told me there's another 40 numbers to go,
so we head back towards the immigration office after 20 minutes of lounging.
Still, we waited for another 20-30 minutes at the office.
They skipped a lot of numbers as nobody showed up fir it.
I hurried towards the counter when my number was called to avoid them from skipping my number.
I wore a black t-shirt, so there's no need to make use of their collared-coat for the picture taking session.
After that, I waited at the cashier for my name to be called, and paid RM200 for the 5 year renewal.
The officer gave me a yellow slip, which stated the time to collect my passport (1 hour later), with the clear instructions/steps for the collection process.
Mum and I went for lunch at a nearby restaurant, and I ordered Kaya Toast. I don't want to upset my stomach any further as I've been having diarrhea every so often throughout the day.

We finished our meal in less than 20 minutes,
we then went to the Alliance Bank priority lounge to slack off and wait for the 1 hours to pass.
Mum had something to do at the bank as well.
Finally the hour passed by, so mum and I picked up her car from the bank's lot and she dropped me off at the immigration to collect my passport.
So here's what I had to do:
Show the yellow slip to the queue counter officer, and the officer will issue a queue number. The officer will then staple one half of the queue number onto the yellow slip, and another half of the queue number will be held by me.
I will then proceed to counter 8, and drop the yellow slip into a indicated box.
I shall wait until my queue number appear on the call screen.
Present my I.C. to the officer when my number appears, and the officer will give me my new and old passport.
Check if all details are correct, and leave.
On the way home, mum mentioned that tua pek & family and ah pek & family invited us for a gathering at Mcdonalds Green Lane at 8pm that day. So we agreed to join them.
It was only 4pm, so we went for some shopping at Gurney Plaza.
I read that there's a promotion at Birkenstock on Facebook, and the branch in Gurney Plaza is participating in the promotion so I decided to check it out.
I've always thought Birkenstock was ugly and not worth that huge sum of money, but since there's a sales, why not?
I went in the shop and looked around,
hmm...still ugly.
So I left the shop empty handed.
We went into Padini Concept Store and bought some stuffs.
I bought a long sleeved shirt and 2 pairs of sandals, while mum bought a few shirts and a backpack.
After shopping, we went back home for dinner.
Mum cooked some crabs so we had a wonderful homecooked meal together with steamed fish, braised pork belly and chicken soup.

At 8pm+. we departed for McD GreenLane and found a place to park quite easily.
We went up to the mezzanine floor to search for them.
Ah pek treated us to ice cream and snacks hehehe.
McD has a promotion whereby if you swipe a certain card with a total bill of RM10, you'll get a complimentary Frozen beverage.
I chose the mixed flavor of coke and ...grape I guess?
I also ordered vanilla and chocolate twisted ice cream cone!

On the fourth day, which is my last day in Penang.
I woke up at 9.30am, determined to get some shopping done today!
After showering, I drove to 1st Avenue and Prangin,
and bought some clothes and jeans at H&M.
I also bought some stockings from Socks World.
I had brunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters but it's such a HUGE disappointment!
It was nothing like what they use to serve!
The mac & cheese was runny, and the mashed potato was pathetic!
I forgot my phone at home so I couldn't take a picture of it.
Anyway, Kenny Rogers Roasters used to serve my favorite kind of mac&cheese and mashed potato.
But not anymore.
Time to look for other alternatives.
I rushed home before 12pm cause I promised mum I'll be back by then.
Plus I did not bring my phone so I don't want her to worry.
I stopped by a photo-shop on my way home to take some passport sized photos for my mum.
She wanted to enroll me in some associations and clubs,
and she has been asking for my passport sized photos for some tme now.
So I took it at the shop that I've frequented, printed out 8 pieces and also had a soft copy for my mum to keep.
I followed mum out for some errands again.
We went back up to Tanjung Bungah to check on ah ku's roof top tiles cause apparently we went back to the wrong house yesterday.
We were supposed to check on his new house, but we went to his old house instead.
After that, we dropped by Gurney Plaza to exchange the shirt that my mum bought yesterday that does not fit her well.
Once done, we head over to Him Heang to buy biscuits as souvenirs for my colleagues.
Mum then drove to Affin Bank cause we're supposed to receive my supplementary card on that day, as promised by the call agent.
However, it seemed like the call agent that promised my mum with the posting did not proceed with the request.
Anyway, I started packing my stuffs as my flight is at 11.20pm.
We went to pick up my sister and the baby around 8pm cause my brother-in-law's mother is not available to take care of the baby the next day.
I get to play with the baby again for a short while before leaving for the airport at 9.20pm.
I arrived at the airport around 9.45pm and did my check in real quick as there's no queue.
I checked in my luggage which weighs 12kg, and proceeded to the premium lounge to wait for my flight to KLIA.
I'll have to stay at the airport for 6 hours cause my connecting flight to Macau will only depart at 7am.
I've booked a single room at Sama Sama Express which is located at the International Departure Hall.
I bought McD after checking in the room as supper, and slept around 2am.
I woke up at 5.30pm for a quick shower and headed towards the departure gate.
The flight delayed cause there's so many people getting on the flight, and they alllowed us to board the plane at such last minute timing.
The waiting room was so hot and suffocating as they crammed the entire flight into a medium waiting room,
taking their time to open the doors for boarding pfft.
If Airasia isn't the only flight that connects Macau and Malaysia, I would never take Airasia for a 4 hour flight.
Always delay, reschedule, cancel flights, crammed seats, etc etc.
Ughh
Anyway,
my next flight back to Penang will be during my resignation.
Unless the general election is held before that,
then I will apply for leave to go back for voting!
