It's finally my rest day again!
And just less than a month away from being back in Singapore!!!
I'm SO excited!
I saw Subway's ad on Facebook about their new branch in Macau.
I didn't even know Subway existed in Macau!
Apparently this is their second branch,
the first one is situated in Taipa.
Since I don't have any plans for the day,
I went to Galaxy for some shopping at H&M.
I'm looking for a summer dress with off shoulder straps,
you know like the ones in trend lately?
But I couldn't find any that I like,
so I left the shop empty handed.
I stopped by Passion Cafe to get pastries before heading back,
I was hoping they serve cupcakes, but sadly they don't.
My obsession with cupcakes started when I subscribed to The Scran Line on Youtube, who makes amazing cupcakes.
Look at those buttercream frostings,
I mean, who could resist those yummies?
Checklist of sweet snacks to get in Singapore:
Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts
Twelve Cupcakes any flavor cupcakes
and EVERYTHING that is not available in Macau!

Bought the Peach puff pastry (MOP 18) and it was delicious.
Actually all their pastries were awesome,
so please do try them out!
After purchasing my pastry, I went to queue for the shuttle back to San Ma Lo, but the crowd is too crazy.
I can't afford to wait for that long queue in such hot weather,
so I queued for the one heading to StarWorld hotel, and decided to walk the rest of the journey.
Still, I could only board the 3rd bus which equals to 30 minutes waiting time, but it's still faster than waiting for the San Ma Lo bus.
I walked 10-15 minutes from StarWorld hotel towards Subway,
which is located nearby the foreign school next the Grand Lisboa.
It's a take away branch, where no tables and chairs are available.
I was torn apart between so many choices, but I finally settled with Steak and Cheese, with their Parmesan Oregano bread, with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and olives, topped with my favorite honey mustard sauce.
Mmm mmm MMM!!!
My all time favorite combo of vegetables!
I missed Subway cookies as well, so I bought the sandwich as a meal with 2 cookies and 1 soft drink.

The set meal costs MOP 56.80.
It's quite pricey, but it's a good buy.
After that, I walked towards 大堂街 Rua da Se - Macau Imperial Tea,
for the awesome looking drinks that they offer!

I bought the rainbow drink which costs MOP 28.
It comes with a plastic bottle that can be reused as well!
With that price, you get an instagram-able drink PLUS a water bottle!
Isn't it awesome?
They have other drinks that's available in other colors as well,
I'm gonna try'em all!
After that I went home to pig out and watched the 2 Broke girls TV series.
I'm on Season 3 by the way, awesome show!
Oh and last week, I was SO into cakes that I went out to buy some.
I went to St Honore's cake shop and hell was it disappointing!
I never thought cake could taste awful, but the ones from St Honore certainly did!
The cakes were dry and bland,
the Napoleon was so soggy and I didn't even want to try finishing it.
Ugghh.

Everyone has been crazy watching the Olympics Badminton competition that I felt I gotta watch it too.
It was LCW's final match against China,
so I set an alarm to wake me up for the live broadcast,
but as usual I slept through it.
When I finally woke up at 1am,
I checked my phone for the family group chats that were always discussing about the matches.
Dato LCW got silver for the match.
When I read those messages plus some posts on Facebook and WeChat,
I always come across these few words:
'Lose'
'Lost'
or for those who REALLY can't spell: 'Loose' dude seriously?
Okay, look people.
He won a silver medal.
See what I did there?
He bloody WON a silver medal.
Instead of sitting in front of your computer/TV/phone and criticizing the way those athletes play on a worldwide national sports event,
why don't you pick your sorry ass up, grab a racket and ACTUALLY play in the Olympics?
Oh I'm sorry, I forgot that you AREN'T EVEN qualified for it!
They worked hard, trained day and night, while we're sitting in the office bad mouthing our bosses.
They got hurt, injured their body and soul while we enjoy a decent meal with our family and friends.
They worked hard, okay?
On the contrary to many's beliefs, I was once an athlete.
I represented my house team and school for competitions,
and I certainly know how it feels when we NEED to win.
I once felt so heartbroken and cried on the bench, when I witnessed the crowd ignoring the ones who are still struggling to finish the race after the champions were determined.
That's how people act, you either get the gold or you're nothing.
But that's not what athletes think,
that's not what athletes are supposed to think.
It's all about the sportsmanship.
It's all about the struggles and determination that we put together with our team in order to achieve our goals.
We pull each other up and pat their backs when they fall,
tell them it's okay cause the rest of us are going to win it for everyone.
Nobody ever lost.
We earned the experience, we grew stronger, and we don't lose as long as we're still standing as a team.
And that's what everybody should be doing.
Stand proud because our athletes earned that pride for our country.
We stand as a team, encouraging and supporting our athletes.
Don't ever criticize them, as they had done their very best.
And also you're an asshole who knows nothing about standing brave on the battle ground.
