It has been over 2 months since my last blog post, and I blame it all on the changes that took place in my life since January '18.
I've been constantly rattling about my job that I did not enjoy, and during some time in December '17, I've decided that I should end my misery.
I applied for another job on JobStreet, barely putting any hope into it. I received a call for interview 2 weeks later and I went for it. I was glad that I was chosen for the position because at that point, I was almost driven crazy by the work scope that I've been dragging my half-dead body through.
I resigned by the end of December, went back Penang for a few days and came back to Singapore for a fresh start on the 1st of January.
My new/current job involves me sitting in front of the computer and answering calls. It's still within the Customer Service field, but this time, I don't have to stand for 8 hours straight and don't have the need for face to face interaction with my guests.
I had to attend training for 2 months before I can officially start answering calls. The training that I went through equipped me with the needed product and system knowledge that is essential for survival on the call floor.
Today was my last day in Nursery. Nursery is the term they used to address the void that the newbies go through after training, and before officially joining the call floor. Basically we went through real time training answering calls from real customers dealing with real problems, with the guidance from 2 nursery team leaders.
And...along my journey through training and nursery, I met someone new, and he has become someone very important to me. And that's the love story I'll be writing on for my next post.
During the past 2 months, I've changed jobs, found myself a partner, changed address and I'm feeling more contented than ever.
xoxo
