Trust me, I really wanted to do full cover reviews of all the places I've patronized,
but you see...
I'm lazy.
It's a thing that's embedded into my soul.
And I'm proud of being lazy,
so...summary it is!

Birthdays
We celebrated 2 birthdays in March,
yes I know it's April now, with May coming soon,
but again, I'm a lazy ass.
We had my housemate's birthday on the 19th,
and we went for dinner at K Star Cafe a few days prior to that.
We didn't tell him that we're celebrating his birthday though.
I ordered a cake online, but the bakery didn't bake it,
so I had to choose another one that was readily made on shelves.
Not that I'm bothered by it, I mean, it's still cake.
And all cakes are on the top of my favorites list.

There are 4 of us that night,
and I just realized I don't have a picture of the birthday cake.
Just so you know, it's a sponge cake that is fully topped with fresh whole strawberries and surrounded by a chocolate fence.
I'll leave the imagination to you.
We only had small pieces of cakes at the cafe,
and I pretty much devoured the remaining cake in the next 2 days.
I know, I'm a sucker for cakes too.

Next up - my birthday!
My colleague wanted to hold a birthday dinner for me,
but I backed up last minute.
I'm sorry but...
I don't fancy being in the limelight of any events,
so when it comes to things that are meant to celebrate something for me, I prefer to go low profile.
It's not you guys, it's me.
I hope you'll understand.
Anyhow, I had cakes for my birthday as well.
A friend bought cakes and waited for me with my one of my housemates at home.
I just came back from Taiwan on that very day, so they wanted to give me a surprise.
I was so tired after all the travelling, plus I'll be working at night three hours later, so I said thanks and kept the cakes in the fridge and head straight to bed.
My Supervisor bought a cake to work for me as well.
It's a mango cake! I LOVE cakes with fruits!
We celebrated at the back office and one of my colleagues even bought me Green Tea Latte!
YAY!
My housemates also brought mini cakes to my company while I was working, and actually wanted to take the cake out and celebrate with me.
I'm working front line, which means I'm at a counter with guests walking by every single minute,
and I don't like it when things from my personal life somehow meddles into my work life.
I appreciate the gesture,
but I kinda felt annoyed that people are not respecting that of me.
When I'm working, I'm into a don't-deal-personal-shit-with-me mode.
And don't-take-pictures-of-me-when-I'm-working mode.
No-private-jokes-while-I'm-at-work mode as well.
And I had to carry the cake back home, which was brought over from home in the first place.
I know I sound like a jerk to complain about these when they are just trying to celebrate for me,
but...just don't mess with my work.
I appreciate the gesture, but just, not at work.
It's okay to do personal stuffs at the back area,
but definitely not in front of guests.

McDOnald's
My all time favorite fast food chain - McDonald's!
But only because the KFC in Macau isn't as good as the ones back home!
I tried their limited time only menu item,
which is the buttermilk fried chicken burger,
if I remember the name correctly.
They even had a oreo chocolate sundae thingie going on at that time, so I got it as well.
It's alright, nothing to shout about.

Poker Cafe, AIA TOwer
I was asked to joined my colleagues for dinner at Poker Cafe,
it was my off day, plus they're going to Sky 21 after that,
so it's a definite yes from me!
I read some reviews online, and it looked pretty awesome.
I've been craving for salmon and fried rice for awhile,
so I ordered the cheese baked salmon with fried rice.
The dish was nice,
but the steel pan it came with emits a very strong iron-y smell that I don't like.
There are 5 of us that night,
so we had quite a few dishes piled on our table.
We even shared waffles for dessert!

Sky 21, AIA Tower
After dinner at Poker Cafe,
we adjourned to Sky 21 for some booze.
I ordered my all time favorite - Hoegaarden.
And my colleagues ordered wine to share.
We also ordered Shisha,
which I got so excited about,
cause it has been YEARS since my last one.
But there's no 'kick' to it,
I don't feel high or anything even after I took a deep puff.
It's kinda disappointing.
Other than that, in order to celebrate A's birthday,
N ordered a Lamborghini to share.
It was fun!

Urban Kitchen, JW Mariott
My housemate told us there's a staff promotion for dining in at the Urban Kitchen,
so off we go!
The buffet selection is somehow similar to the ones we had last year, so nothing biggie about it.
But I still enjoyed it!

I had quite a lot that day,
and I was so full that I don't feel like taking the bus back home,
so we hopped on a taxi instead.

Cafe Esplanada, Wynn Macau
I went for the dinner buffet at Cafe Esplanada with my colleagues.
It was the only buffet I had, that always refills their lobster.
They're not stingy about it!
And it's awesome!!
I love the seafood selections that they have,
as well as the hot dishes.

M arranged a surprise birthday cake for A as well.
And it was plated beautifully.

Isaac Toast
It has been quite some time since I last had Isaac's toasts.
I went with my overnight colleagues after work,
and it was satisfying!

I had the Pork MVP toast, and it tastes like heaven!
I love bread.
Actually I just love anything that is fattening, carbs and starchy.
So that's all for my food adventure for now.
See you in my next post.
Gonna go sleep now.
Ciao!
