I was REALLY craving for Korean BBQ for the past few weeks, and I want the type of grill that we usually see in K-dramas! And I found it! Kkang Tong Korean Grill Buffet! It has decent reviews online so I couldn't wait to try it out!
It's in Tanjung Bungah, located one street away from Copthorne Ocrhid Hotel. To be precise, It's between Flamingo Hotel and Copthorne Orchid.

We made reservation just one hour before arriving at the restaurant. Since we were there early, there weren't many people dining in yet.
We were there at 6:45pm, with 3 adults and a baby.

I loved the idea where the chairs at Korean BBQs has a removable lid that allows you to store your bags and keep them away from the BBQ-ey smell. The Korean BBQ restaurants in Macao has them, and I was quite surprised that Kkang Tong has them as well!
The service in here isn't top class. I mean, I could do better at my worst possible mood swing. So, don't expect restaurant service. Other than setting up the fire and grill, all other stuffs are self service.
The server laid out the buffet price and beverage menu as we sit. The buffet costs RM45++ per adult, and that DOES NOT include beverage. My sister and I ordered Iced Green Tea each, which is refillable and costs RM3 each.

I hunted down their buffet counter while they set up the fire. They have an extensive spread of cooked food, which includes kimbap, kimchi, egg rolls, japchae, tteokbokki and more.
And of course, the meat! They store them in an ice cream refrigerator together with some skewers and prawns. There's also another fridge that keeps the lettuce, cabbage, garlic, onion, green pepper and fruits.
I chose some dishes and went back to the table. The fire and grill has been placed nicely, and they also served us a pot of instant noodle with kimchi stew. That's included in the buffet, but only served once.
The cooked food are satisfying, but not special or unique in any way. Still, it's korean snacks, so I enjoyed myself to the fullest!
The meat are good. The marination is decent, nothing to shout about. The prawns however, are not so fresh. It falls apart when I tried to peel off the shell. That's not what fresh prawns does.

We ordered a bottle of soju towards the end of our meal for RM25. Oh I forgot to mention that the buffet has a time limit of 2 hours only! But that's more than enough to get your tummy filled up to the throat!
Does this spread worth RM45++? No.
Will I come back again? Probably. I mean, it saved me all the trouble of making my own fire and preparing all those food.
Was it delicious? It's just normal. Like every other random BBQ places.
BUT! It's great for group gatherings. The place can fit in a lot of people. And there's always something for everybody.
